The mine is a great place to visit on the way to whistler or shannon falls. The displays are excellent and the highlight of the mine is the train into the mine itself. Good place to take the children.

I thought this place was only for kids; but as an adult, I totally enjoyed it. The underground mine tour was the highlight of our visit. And there were lots to see and do. I tried gold panning for the first time and got gold flakes and pyrite.

I wasn't thinking I would enjoy this visit but I was so surprised (note: do the tour or you'll be missing out) the price is a bit steep to get in but I was thrilled by the woman who animated the tour, she was a true storyteller and made history come alive. Also I love that when you "pan for gold" there's actually something to find for kids. Our daughter loved the experience. Way to go!
